Surface rescues can range from a quick throw bag evolution, to watercraft accidents involving multiple victims and searches. Students
will learn surface water safety, protective equipment, passive and active measures, and rescue techniques.
In water extrication
and EMS is also covered, both in shallow water and deeper water. Shore extrications may be utilized if desired.
Students are
also exposed to different types of watercraft that may be found in many agencies, and if needed, training on boating operations and
safety can be integrated into a class.
These classes can be tailored to fit your demands as needed, can be NFPA Level I or Level
II, or both, and can be on your water hazards in your district.
