The fall season brought a few alumni divers back to Blackwater, and a couple new faces too. Graham Sleet, Washington Township Fire Dept, obtained his Open Water and Advanced Open Water card, and is hoping to dive with the department. Detective Jason Bontrager has joined the Fairfield County Special Operations team with the blessing of the Pickerington Police Department, and is looking forward to working with the county divers. We are glad to have him on board, and he has completed his Advanced Open Water course, drysuit, full face mask, and is currently working on his Public Safety Level One rating.
The Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District has returned for Advanced Open Water training, and 6 new Advanced Open Water divers are now preparing to form a Public Safety team in their home waters of Apple Valley Lake, outside Danville. These divers are Bryan Cantrell, Andrew Durbin, Rodney Williamson, Mike Smith, and Regis Folwer.
Great job by all, and we hope to see you again!
